Our Founder & Executive Chairman- Terence Tinashe Malunga

Popularly known as ‘Djemba’, Terence is a lawyer, banker, former professional footballer, and a registered football intermediary. A product of the elite Agatha Sheneti Soccer Academy who represented and captained the country’s junior national teams, won the PSL Championship with Gunners football Club in 2009 and played in CAF Club Champions league the subsequent year. Driven by an academic zeal, he retired from football at the age of 23 to pursue a law degree.

He is a recipient of the prestigious Chevening Scholarship and holds a Master of Laws (LLM) in Banking and Finance Law from Queen Mary University of Lonon. Currently, he is studying towards an LLM in Sports Law. Terence has over 12 years of domestic and regional banking and financial experience, he has great expertise in bilateral and syndicated lending, corporate finance, financial and investment markets regulations and compliance, corporate governance, digital financial services, project financing, insolvency and debt restructuring. Terence previously worked for a domestic financial services provider prior to joining African Export-Import Bank as part of their legal team. He is the founder of Maenza Capital, an investment and advisory firm in Zimbabwe and consulted for an international sovereign claims and management advisory firm.
